About the author
Shaped by hardship, Fleur C. Boal built resilience from childhood through to her adulthood years, developing a passion for helping others. She has studied and worked in various fields, including social work, chaplaincy and generalist counselling. Fleur has worked with a broad range of people, including toddlers, teenagers, new parents, and the elderly, providing emotional support, practical help, and pastoral care, both professionally and as a volunteer.
Her chosen career in the helping profession was motivated by conflict in her upbringing, initiating a desire to facilitate positive change in others. Fleur and her husband have raised four children in a country town in north-west Victoria, Australia, three who are now independent adults.
She currently works, and resides, with her husband and youngest child in a residential hostel for high school aged students, in the Eastern Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea. The students’ parents work with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF), in providing assistance to people living in remote parts of Papua New Guinea. This enables the students to get a good standard of education in a country where this is not generally available. A firm believer that every life holds a story, Fleur shares her own journey of healing and hope to help readers find personal restoration.
